WPO Judge Paul Hörmann owned and handled Andy v.d. Bildsaule -- a winner of the German Police Championship and who is in many working dog pedigrees. Herr Hormann is a police dog handler and trainer from the Bavarian Police (Landes Bayern Polizei). He also breeds German Shepherd Dogs under the kennel name "vom Santa Maria." His dog after Andy, Ando v. Santa Maria, participated many times in the German Police Championship.

The National Helper Seminar on Wednesday will provide an opportunity for helper development and continuing education for both new and experienced helpers. Selection for the championship trial helpers will be made following the Helper Seminar.

National championship trial helpers are exhaustively evaluated and carefully selected from the very best of America's Schutzhund decoys. These athletes come to Reno from around the country to demonstrate their skills and hopefully find their place on the elite roster of championship-level trial helpers.
