By Carolyn Dawson

I am pleased to announce that the American Working Dog Federation has been invited to attended the FCI FH International Championship. This is a wonderful opportunity and AWDF will be sending a team in the year 2000. The trial is mid April 2000, in eastern Germany. Time is of the essence as applications are being accepted until January 15, 2000; a decision will be made and announced by Feb. 1, 2000.

Applications may be sent to:

Carolyn Dawson
349 Key West Drive
Charlottesville, Virginia 22911

The following are requirements to be considered for selection to the AWDF international team:

1. You must have earned a minimum of 2 FHs with a minimum score of 80 with your dog.

2. You must submit a letter along with your application stating that you would like to be considered for selection for the team.

3. Include a copy of your scorebook, breed club that you are a member, of and the dog's pedigree.

The two team members will be selected by taking the highest average of the top two scores in the scorebook.

The 3rd highest will be selected as the alternate, with the 4th highest notified for standby.

The AWDF is pleased to be part of this exciting and challenging opportunity. Any further questions, please email Carolyn Dawson.
