Highlands Schutzhund was formed for those people who want to train their working dogs in the sport of Schutzhund. We emphasize the training of all three disciplines,Schutzhund is a 3 phase dog sport where dog/handler teams compete for titles in tracking, obedience and protection. It requires extreme precision from both dog and handler and has been compared to a Triathlon for the working dog. While it does take a tremendous amount of commitment, team work, and dedication to train and prepare for all 3 phases of the sport. Schutzhund is a rewarding sport designed to preserve the working abilities of all working breeds. We train two times a week .We welcome visitors to come and see if this a sport for them.
