Logitech Webcam November 19, 2009 Good product. We have used one ourselves for a while and got this for somebody as a gift.
As always.. Logitech is the best in what it is doing and exceeds expectations November 16, 2009 Camera works as advertised - it rocks!
Excellent image quality (sharp and crystal clear). Fast autozoom. Awesome light management - clear and sharp image even in almost complete darkness (only laptop screen light).
Very good grip on the stand that comes with it. Excellent soft pouch (e.g. personally I keep the camera attached to the stand 100% of the time and to prevent it from dust simply cover it with pouch - very convenient).
Works even with slow internet connection. E.g. my parents "enjoy" 256 kbit/s which quickly limits itself to 32.. (yep, Russian province, baby) - they report sharp and clear image.
Overall - guys, all my peripheral devices are from Logitech. It just happened so. They constantly turn out to be the best at what they do.
Best Webcam under $100 November 11, 2009 This webcam does everything a similarly priced Creative Labs one didn't. I LOVE IT.
1. Hardware. Is wide angle enough so captures more than whole face at normal 2 to 3 foot distances.
Does an Excellent job in poor light. Is Autofocus. Is higher resolution than other similarly priced
webcams by Creative Labs (2 Megapixel, vs 1.2 Megapixel).
2. Drivers - Color tint was always perfect, and no adjustment needed.
3. Software - Easy Install, Allows one to zoom the image if desired.
4. Instructions - Either clips to monitor or mounts on (supplied) 11 inch tall plastic stick with base.
On a Macintosh, no software needed, it's natively supported on OS X 10.5 and 10.6, whith sharp image, and prefect color. Not quite as good as (more expensive) Stand-alone external Apple iSight Camera, but half the price; and this camera works on both Macintosh and Windows platforms, which iSight doesn't.
Drivers available for 64 bit Windows 7.
11/5/2009 November 5, 2009 I really love this camera. It was easy to install and easy to use. My only complaint is the size. It covers a small portion of the screen on my laptop, and since I have it mounted directly in the center, it can be a bit annoying. For the most part the quality of sound and picture are fantastic. I bought it just before traveling through Europe and it was very easy to pack and carry.
High quality picture October 27, 2009 Far better picture than Microsoft Lifecam 3000 it replaced. Autofocus and face tracking work very well. Low light capability is much better also. Recommended to several friends to use for Skype. Can be securely mounted to laptop with the built in clip or placed on included "stick stand". Better mounting than others I have seen. Small light high performance unit at a good price.
