Love the USB adapter but not the fit November 21, 2009 SMXSteve (Seattle) I love the snubby little USB adapter. My other mouse had one of those that stuck out a mile and I kept waiting for the day I would hit it and damage my netbook.
But I do not like the fit of this mouse. I would probably have preferred the MX (haven't actually tried it but based on pictures and my last mouse that one seems a better fit). It feels like a low-rider, so close to the ground. For my big hands I prefer a larger arch-backed mouse.
I also don't really care for how the construction feels. Kinda of thin and cheap to me especially in this price range. I have had less expensive mice that had a better built feel.
I don't care for programability. In fact, extra buttons tend to get in the way of my fumbling fingers.
Not a bad mouse but not the perfect one for me.
Nice and useful November 18, 2009 Karl Sauter The straps are great. Not to tight and not to loose, but good grip and you can tie them to the cable so they don't get lost.
not bad November 13, 2009 Trojan Horsing Around (Jersey City, NJ United States) not a bad mouse but nothing to boost about. good for surfing the web but not for actual works that require plenty of mouse works. I in fact return to my regular cord microsoft optical mouse when massive use of clicking and gliding required. try to get use to its gliding on the table surface for a month and still have difficulty. decided to just use it at home, instead of at work. like that tiny adapter that doesn't stick out. good for travel and light use, I think.
Long term product review November 12, 2009 Kevin Oberdick (Midwest) I have 2 of the VX nano mice (or is it mouses??). I have used the initial one for ~2 years & bought the 2nd for a 2nd laptop. In my experience they are the greatest "set & forget" laptop gadgets going. After breaking a number of "non-nano" transceivers, I wanted a USB device I didn't have to remove every time I decided to move my laptop. Enter the "Nano". Works great, but, wish it had more buttons. BUT lately, the initial device I bought (2 years old now), decided that when I LEFT CLICKED that what I really wanted was a DOUBLE CLICK. To be fair, this doesn't happen every time I LEFT CLICK, but enough it is really an issue. So, I guess, for me the limit for the useful life for me is 2 years. But given the usefulness of the device for the time that it worked, was a positive. Even after this problem, I would purchase another "nano" without hesitation, which is what I will be doing after writing this review.
BTW: My 2nd NANO is working just fine after a year or so.
Great little mouse November 12, 2009 B. Vienneau This mouse works very well on most surfaces. I've only had issues with the mouse skipping around the screen on high gloss surfaces and the browsing backwards/forwards buttons is in odd spot (must use your index finger instead of thumb to press) but I'm sure I can get used to it. Otherwise it is very handy, compact, mouse with an impressive design for storing the USB receiver. The storage pouch was an added bonus.
