Product Description
Hot Link Pro completes your home theater system with a super slim-line infrared eye!The Hot Link patented system constantly monitors the ambient light and noise floor. In darker ambient light it becomes more sensitive to remote control pulses, making the eye the most sensitive it can be based on ambient light environment. When the eye is in a "hidden" location behind a speaker grill, tucked up in a toe-kick or in a door slot it compensates for the expected loss in distance by becoming more sensitive to the pulses emitted from remote controls. Get great remote control roaming freedom, and enhanced beauty of your home theater.

5 out of 5 stars AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE   November 20, 2009
Robert T. Rucker (Scranton, PA)
When I read all of the other Amazon reviews I decided to get this product. When I recieved the item it was pretty straight forward so I followed the instructions and hooked it up same as the diagram. What I didn't expect next is what I am very impressed with. When I turned on my TV the signal LED went solid and no matter what I did it would not fix the problem. So after reading some more reviews I knew I was doing something incorrect and called the customer service number on the bottom of the box. After 1/2 of a ring (no kidding) a real English speaking person answered. I told him my problem and he said that a tech would contact me soon. About 1 hour later Marcus from Microsmith calls me and walks me through step by step on everything on how to hook this up. Come to find out my TV model emits RF that interferes with the device and makes it so that it needs a better ground. After he spent about 45 minutes on the phone with me we fixed it and he offered to help me with any other equipment setup that I needed. After we hung up about 20 minutes later another tech calls to make sure everything was fine. I am very impressed with this company and would recommend them to anyone!

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Product   November 19, 2009
Great product. I mounted my 52" TV and wanted to hide the equipment directly below it in the basement. This transmitter works great for me DVR, DVD Played and sound system. No complaints.

5 out of 5 stars Works better than others!   October 31, 2009
Lonnie Peterson (San Diego, California)
After checking online for exact IR placement all my components worked great! Even my SA 3800HD DVR (it uses a frequency others didn't work with) I hide the blue LED indicater because I think it's distracting in a dark room. I was going to buy a Harmony 900 remote with RF option. but this was a lot less expensive.

I didn't need to call the inventor, Buy I understand he's very helpful at solving issues you may have.

5 out of 5 stars Problem Solver but it can be improved...   October 27, 2009

It should work with any IR remote device. And if you think the cord is short, read my review, there is a very simple solution !!

I built a wooden wall to separate two rooms. I have installed the LCD TV in a rotating box as a part of the wall to be able to watch TV from both rooms. So this device made my idea practical, because my DVD, Satellite receiver, and other devices were placed in one room, and only the TV that rotates with the Eye receiver. So I can control the devices from any side of the wall.

For quality and performance, I really give this device excellent. But I think there is a place for improvement. It is all with the Receiver Eye Cord. First, for me I think the length is sufficient but if you require to extend it, you can just install a regular RCA extension cable (Male to Female) and it will work like charm, I have tested it of course. However, I think the supplied cord should be more flexible to be able to route it easily and hide it. The other thing, I would prefer if the Receiver Eye itself was 360 degree sensitive and not receiving from one side. this would add more flexibility to the device.

Other than that, I think this device unleash your imagination.
