Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
If you’re looking for a book that focuses on just the most important, most useful, and most fun stuff about your iPhone 3G or 3GS—you’ve found it.

There are basically two types of iPhone books out there: (1) The “tell-me-all-about-it” kind, which includes in-depth discussions on everything from wireless network protocols to advanced compression codes. (2) Then there’s this book, which instead is a “show-me-how-to-do-it” book that skips all the confusing techno-jargon and just tells you, in plain, simple English, exactly how to use the iPhone features you want to use most.

The iPhone Book is from Scott Kelby, the award-winning author of the smash bestseller, The iPod Book, who takes that same highly acclaimed, casual, straight-to-thepoint concept and layout and brings it to learning Apple’s amazing iPhone. Scott teams up once again with gadget guru and leading iPhone authority Terry White to put together a book that is an awful lot like the iPhone itself—simple to use and fun to learn. The book’s layout is brilliant, with each page covering just one single topic, so finding the information you need is quick and easy, with a large full-color photo on each page so you can see exactly how it works.

The first edition of this book was named Best Computer Book of 2007 and, since then, Scott and Terry added even more tips and more tricks, and made it even easier by focusing on just the most useful and most requested iPhone 3G and 3GS features, so you can start really using your iPhone today!

5 out of 5 stars IPhone Info   February 23, 2010
Sally Menk (Florida)
This is a GREAT book. It has pictures that show you how to use the IPhone. I refer to it ALL the time because the IPhone is complicated. I would recommend it to EVERY IPhone owner!!

4 out of 5 stars Iphone book review   December 30, 2009
Susan
I read this book in about an hour. One of the best things about it is the link they share to an online video tutorial. I probably got as much out of that video as I did from the book. The book is very easy to read and very basic. It didn't tell me much that I didn't know but it is a good reference book and I did learn a few things. It's worth the money.

5 out of 5 stars The Best iPhone Book   December 25, 2009
Bruce S. Weinberg (O'Fallon, MO United States)
This is the best iPhone book and I recommend it for EVERY new iPhone owner.

Each page presents a new key tip or topic in an easy to read, yet highly informative. I often refer to my book periodically to refresh me about certain features I haven't used. I have purchased the book for any of my friends who own the iPhone and they all love it.

This is not a highly detailed and technical text, but a user-friendly book of great tips and "how-to" guides. Buy this, you will not regret it.

5 out of 5 stars You'll want to keep this one close at hand   December 23, 2009
Ronald D. Galbraith (Laguna Woods, CA USA)
I bought the Second Edition of this book some 2 years ago along with my 3G iPhone. I found it to be a wonderful teacher and great support for someone comparitly new to the smart world.
So! It was a no brainer for me to upgrade to this Third Edition when I bought my new 3G S. Love the phone . . Love the book.

4 out of 5 stars Great Beginner's Handbook   December 20, 2009
D. Chilson (Indianapolis, IN)
This book is very helpful for someone that has not used a smartphone in the past. All of the basics are covered in a very cler and understandable way. Another great job by Scott Kelby of Photoshop fame.
