| Customer Reviews: An excellent study guide for the RRT and CRT exams!! May 21, 2009 Irish Mobster (Tennessee, USA) This book helped me out alot while I was in respiratory school and helped prepare me for the tough questions and the structure of both the CRT and RRT board exams by the NBRC
I passed the RRT November 13, 2006 Michelle E (Cullman, Al) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I used this book along with some tapes from kettering and some practice simulations on the kettering website and I passed both parts of the RRT the first time. I think this book is a good review of what is on the test, but I don't recommend using this book alone.
It's an ok book May 22, 2005 missmahagony (New York) 12 out of 13 found this review helpful
This book provides an adequate review style outline for respiratory care. However, if you can only buy two books, I would recommend Persing's book, and the written registry exam review by Wojciechowski. I think this book was a waste of my money. Also, the CD-Rom doesn't work. Other options for practicing these exams include purchasing individual exams from www.goamp.com. They provide you with feed back, so you understand why your answer is wrong and another answer is the best choice.
DON'T BUY THIS BOOK August 20, 2004 T. J. Strunk 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
I GOT THIS BOOK AND THE CD-ROM DIDN'T WORK SO I HAD TO HAVE A NEW ONE SENT. SECONDLY, THE CD-ROM DOES REPLICATE THE SIMS AND SCORES IT FOR YOU BUT DOESN'T TELL YOU WHY YOU PASSED OF FAILED THE SIM AND WHAT THE BETTER CHOICES COULD BE. SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY AND TIME AND GO TO KETTERING NATIONAL SEMINARS BECAUSE THIS BOOK IS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.
I bought it for the pictures . . . February 28, 2000 Brandie L. Webb (U.S.) 5 out of 8 found this review helpful
Actually, I bought it for the hemodynamics. I found (and still find) the book to be quite helpful. The layout is very basic - just the listing of information. That almost put me to sleep occasionally because I do better with an outline style (I use this and a Persing review together and that's perfect for me). The illustrations and tables in the Sills are definitely among the better I've seen in these books.
