Product Description
Lippincott's Illustrated Reviews: Pharmacology, Fourth Edition enables rapid review and assimilation of large amounts of complex information about the essentials of medical pharmacology. Clear, sequential pictures of mechanisms of action actually show students how drugs work, instead of just telling them. As in previous editions, the book features an outline format, over 500 full-color illustrations, cross-references to other volumes in the series, and over 125 review questions. Content has been thoroughly updated, and a new chapter covers toxicology. New to this edition will be a companion Website containing all of the illustrations, fully searchable text, and an interactive question bank. NOTE: International Edition available for sales outside North America and Caribbean (ISBN: 978-1-60547-200-3) "Doody's Core Titles 2009."

Great for teachers September 11, 2009 Dominic J. Saladino (Chicago, IL) I'm a pharmacist and college professor. I use this extensively for my lectures, and it is a great review for pharmacists.
great reference June 6, 2009 L. Batara (KY, USA) Lippincott's pharmacology has it all; concise and complete with illustrations and diagrams. I recommend it for a thorough review with a limitted amount of time.
The best pharmacology book I have ever come across. March 29, 2009 Always a student The book is very easy to read. Concepts are broken down with very clear explainations. I like the study questions at end of each chapter.
Mixed opinions January 26, 2009 NP Student (Washington, D.C) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am an NP student currently taking a clinical pharmacology class. I find this book helpful, especially as a supplement to the required Katzung text. The book breaks down many of the topics covered in the text but sometimes isn't as clear as I would like. There book references other texts from Lippincott, such as Biochemistry, to explain some topics. The book helps, but in general, if you haven't had Biochemistry in a while, consider other texts.
