College November 21, 2009 Agov Agayev A very important book if one wants to get a high score on the SAT!
disappointing November 17, 2009 Nikolaos Charalabis (Greece) Under the title "2nd edition" and "10 tests" I was expecting the College Board to offer us 10 new tests, after all these years that the 1st edition kept coming up. Unfortunately, the title was misleading, since only 3 new tests were added, the remaining 7 being reprints of the 7 (out of 8) tests in the 1st edition. It is really a shame.

I've bought them to my children and they are very happy and satisfied with this book, which they are using to prepare themselves for the SAT.
Excellent SAT prep book October 19, 2009 Alan Sachs (Boston, MA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've been using the 1st edition since it came out when the test changed in 2005. My students have consistently reported that the questions on the real test are just like the ones in the book.
Several hundred pages of review materials complement the full-length practice tests. Examples and explanations of the various types of questions on the test are particularly helpful.
The new 2nd edition has a few new sections but otherwise is the same as the first and I expect my students will find it just as useful.
Defective material October 15, 2009 Ivy Leaguer 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I opened this book in great anticipation, and what I found was a yellow ERRATA page listing all the errors in this book: Two full pages of errors! I do not have the time to go to every specified page to correct every error before I use this book. College Board (CB) should be ashamed to sell this edition. This book should be given out free of charge, as DEFECTIVE material. There are content errors and editorial errors. For your information, the previous edition and this new edition have 7 tests in common (that is, 7 tests from the previous edition are reprinted in this new edition), and the errors occur in these 7 reprinted tests. The CB did not make these errors in the previous edition. It is hard to believe how CB people could "produce" so many errors--on tests they were able to print without errors the first time around. The 3 newly added tests do not seem to contain any errors; but I am not sure yet. I am quite upset. The company should proof-read, edit, and reprint this edition before selling it. I begin to question CB's intentions.
