Product Description
More barktations from Genevieve! Perk up your ears and get to the nearest fire hydrant - canine star Genevieve is back with a brand-new collection of observations about poor, dumb humans. Following up on her best-selling classic, "Memoirs of a Papillon: The Canine Guide to Living with Humans without Going Mad," Genevieve unleashes a scathing analysis of human culture that will have sociologists all over the world looking for new jobs.

2 out of 5 stars More Memoirs of a Papillion: Diary of a Mad Dog   October 4, 2009
Samiam (Sarasota, Fl)
I'm glad I bought this book as a paperback for I don't think it's a keeper. I lost so much interest in the story that I still haven't finished reading it. It just drags and is not near as light as the first one written. Analogy:
No name makes it big with a sleeper, low budget movie and becomes a household name overnight.(Crowd roar). Next move, to do it again with a sequel. And we all know how that turns out. Sorry, this book was written with that exact scenario in mind so if you just have to have this book, find it at the second hand store for a dollar of let this site know that you have interest in taking it off my hands.

5 out of 5 stars Genevieve a true Papillon   June 29, 2009

Loved it! Genevieve keeps growing and getting smarter! It's such a shame she has to work so hard to train her humans :O)

Thanks for the laughs.

5 out of 5 stars Wondering about Genevieve   January 1, 2008
Michaelene Gon (.Westerville Ohio United States)
Genevieve would now be 10....going on 11 this year,2008.

I wonder how she is doing as she ages.

From what I could tell in the Herd on the Street chapter....she was not spayed.

Wondering how Dennis and Katrina will cope when Genevieve goes to the Rainbow Bridge......I know my animals I loved so will be there for me.

If G was bred.....did they keep one? How could they ever give any up?

I have 2 Papillons.....they are interesting dogs. Got them at a rescue shelter. Female spayed. I know I would have a houseful of Paps if not. Male neutered. Very different in personalities.

Male much more spaniel-like.

If anyone knows how Genevieve is, post it, please.

After reading "Memoirs of a Papillon: The Canine Guide to Living with Humans
without Going Mad" I was very anxious to read Mr Fried's sequel. I was
disappointed in his second effort. I felt it was more Mr. Fried's
pholosphy on life and not enough anecdotes of Genevieve's life experiences.
I couldn't put down the first book and laughed till my sides hurt. I even
bought several editions to give to friends. As a papillon owner, I could
really relate to his firt book. I'm sorry to say, Mr Fried's second effort
didn't live up to his first. I hope he tries again.

Genevieve is at it again! A thoroughly delightful read, following up on the first book written with the assistance of her adoring "dad" Dennis. This book will leave you laughing even if you aren't lucky enough to share your life with a Papillon.
