Detailed, Step-by-Step Process in Organizing Your Records September 22, 2009 Sandra K. Brown (Illinois) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This gave me detailed, step-by-step process for gathering records and key documents and organizing them for future use. The greatest resource is the forms CD included with the book and I will be able update and reprint the forms when necessary. I have a peace of mind that my successors will have no trouble making or tracking down stuff because I put all of these forms and key documents in one place and all of the meaningless clutter is gone. My next purchase will be Quicken WillMaker Plus 2009 Edition.
Excellent Book for All August 5, 2009 Tee (Bronx, NY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this book because I have a 1 1/2 year old son and I thought it would be a good idea to have everything organized in case something happens to me. After going through this book, I realized that whomever has the task of executing my wishes will be able to do so with ease. I am already an organized person but this book made me organize my paperwork even better.
This is a must have book!
A family survival guide May 21, 2009 Bakari (Sacramento, CA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
"Get It Together" is a great resource, filled with worksheets, checklists, and step-by-step instructions. It also includes a Windows-based CD-ROM for printing out selected documents and resources. It probably contains more information than most people will need, but it is a good preparation guide for family and loved ones. It's like a family survival guide for when you're no longer here.
It discusses burial and cremation options, organs and body donation, funeral and memorial services, healthcare directives, small business ownership, and durable power of attorney finances, and the like. Nearly all the material your family will need can be stored in a paper folder and on your computer. Upon your passing away, your family and loved ones will have the necessary documents and information they need about you, your business, employment, and personal life. It's also a useful guide for personal and family planning in general.
