3 out of 5 stars Helpful, but you'll learn!   March 4, 2010
AVB
I found this book helpful early on when starting out with making my son's food. And I did use it later on (9-12 months old) to make sure I was giving him food adequate for his curiosity and ability. But, I found myself making better recipes that were easier, yet just as healthy without the book. Buy it for your beginning use (and to put your mind at ease during certain stage changes), but you'll outgrow it... Borrow this book if you can!

3 out of 5 stars Salt?!   January 12, 2010

The writer suggest to add pepper and 1/2 teaspoon of salt to one of her recipes...?? Hello, are these baby recipes or a cookbook for adults?! Please use common sense if you have or are about to buy this book! And please no honey before the age of 1!

5 out of 5 stars great book for moms on the go.   December 6, 2009

my girlfriend lent me this book, and I just had to have it. I am a working mom, and this was perfect for me. the book gave me ideas on how to start with making simple food for my daughter (7 months). it has wonderful recipes that are easy to make. the book also includes wonderful nutritional information that is easy to understand and apply. this is a wonderful purchase for a a baby shower, and it will be a standard baby shower gift that i give in the future!

3 out of 5 stars Not that great   August 26, 2009

A third of this book is devoted to discussing what organic food is and how to prepare food safely. If you know anything about these two subjects, a good portion of the book is a waste. As a new parent, I found that she really didn't address the major questions: "What should I give first? Next? And then?" or "What kind of texture should this be when I'm finished?" Also, I agree with the previous reviewer on the honey issue. If you should never give a baby under a year old honey, why is it included in the recipes?

5 out of 5 stars My baby loves vegetables   August 20, 2009

I'm a first time mom and I've used this book like a bible. My son loves vegetables and different types of grain, many that I've never tasted before. I've learned to cook and love vegetables.
