Great Product Overall February 8, 2010 Tiffany Dudek (Mn, USA) This is my first NOZTONOZ sof-crate. I read a bunch of reviews on here before I purchased. Some reviews said that it had a smell to it. Well they must have fixed that cuz it doesnt smell at all.
It was a little tricky to learn to set up and take down for the first time, but once I learned which side goes first its a peice of cake now. I like that is had a nice handle for carrying, and for the size its very lightweight. I bought this for my 120lb great dane. who is abou 30 inches at the withers. The length and width are plenty for her, and since she is a little tall I love that it has the zip-open roof. I use this crate for dog shows, and when I am around the kennels I can open the roof and let her stick her head out. She really likes this.
Great product, I wouldnt reccommend for a puppy who might chew, as this is made of nylon, and mesh screen.
pretty good so far February 1, 2010 Carrie Emrikson (Des Plaines, IL) I've only set this up at home when opened from the box, but will be using them soon. I bought 2 for my 2 Golden Retrievers. The girls fit nicely in their new crates and the snaplock bar frame seems sturdy. I think the mesh panels seem thin, but my dogs are crate trained so this shouldn't be an issue. I like the multiple opening choices, top, side and front, which sealed the deal for me.
I own 3 NOZTONOZ February 1, 2010 Loves Agility (PA, US) I do like this product and would recommend. Though, I think some people might find difficulty sliding the bars into lock or unlock, depending on their fingers (like arthritis). I've not had any problems with mine, and I like that it is sturdy. I would say that NOZTONOZ needs to keep the quality "up" in this product so that the bars work with ease. I think that my newest crate compared to the older ones has slightly thinner plastic slides. Lessening any quality into the crate will not be beneficial. I would pay a few dollars more for keeping up good quality! Yes, I would buy another.
NOT FOR TRAINING A NEW PUPPY! January 30, 2010 R. Brock (Bubbabro) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Do not buy this crate to train a dog! They don't work at all. Being a new dog owner I know very little about it and they say nothing about this crate being for trained dogs only. My pup ripped a hole in the front "door" in the first few days. I turned it around and put the hole against the wall, and now in week two yet another hole now rendering it's useless. I was only gone for an few hours, and I took him out just before i left, yet it took him no time at all.
I will also echo what others say about the smell... it doesn't smell good at all, and the smell hasn't dissipated in the two weeks i've had it. I do wonder if it's good for a dog to be surrounded by that smell for hours at a time.
There is no returning it because it was damaged by my dog. That's $90 in the trash. That's a real bummer.
To sum it up i wouldn't buy this crate again even if my dog liked going in it. It smells really bad. And if you are trying to house train a pup don't waste your money.
Mom & KC love the Sof-Krate January 30, 2010 trodgers (Gray, GA) Bought this from Amazon as Christmas gift for my mom and her small dog KC as the wire crate she had was just too large and heavy for her to lug around when they travel. She says both her and KC like it alot and it looks good to boot. My review is of Amazon--once again they prove to be the go-to site when looking for almost anything and come through with the best price. Speed of shipping has always been better than expected. Thanks Amazon!
