5 out of 5 stars You need this!   March 8, 2010
Susan Batz (San Anselmo, CA)
If you can or preserve ANYTHING that involves lifting hot glass jars from VERY hot, deep water, believe me, you need this. It's very basic, and does exactly the job it's made for. Comfortable in your hand, and keeps the jars steady when lifting them out of the water and onto your counter. BUY it or you will burn your hand on a HOT, wet oven mitt. Worth the cost, which is minimal, and will last forever.

3 out of 5 stars Jar Lifter: Old kind seem to be more efficient   November 28, 2009
J. Scott Martino
This product is of high quality, but isn't efficient. The style of grip doesnt allow for quickly removing the jars for you need two hands to open and close the product. But if you are not in a rush, this products is well built.

4 out of 5 stars jar lifter   October 4, 2009
Sandra L. Scarlett (Colville, Washington)
I do alot of canning and knew i needed a jar lifter. I researched the different brands and settled on this one. I really like it. It's not flimsy like some of the others and works very well. And i was very happy with the people from whom i bought this and the defuser, as they sent it very quickly...within days of ordering. I highly recommend this product.

5 out of 5 stars great little tool!   October 2, 2009
K. Winter (Michigan USA)
Getting those hot jars out of the canner was made simple by this handy little tool! We did 32 pints of salsa last month and this jar lifter made the job safer for us. I would definitely purchase again!

5 out of 5 stars Jar Lifter   September 12, 2009

This is a must have for anyone who cans. I love the way the tong like device wrapes around any size jar which makes it easy and safe to remove jars from hot boiling water. The long handle has a rubber like grip that doesn't get hot, so you will not burn your hand or fingers when removing hot jars. I hope this product last for ever, however, if it gets missing or broken I will surely buy another.
