Album Description Shakira's brand new English album She Wolf is an uptempo pop album. It is all about synthesizers and electronical concepts, all mixed with the world sounds that we are used to from Shakira, sounds from countries like India, the Middle East and her home country of Colombia. She Wolf features a predominantly English track list with a follow up album of new and unique repertoire in Spanish to come in 2010. The title track "She-Wolf"; boasts the infectious and energizing sound that made Shakira a household name, with a slightly more dancey/ electronic beat (about 125 beats per minute). Though most tracks on the upcoming album will be in English, Shakira chose to service the Spanish version of the first single, "Loba," two weeks before the English single is launched.
Album Description U.S. edition of her 2009 album includes 16 tracks, four and six more over the different International pressings! Shakira's 2009 English album She Wolf is an uptempo Pop album. oh now she's a werewolf at night February 26, 2010 Sherance Brothers (Jasper Ala) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
how many more hints do pop stars have to make before we figure out that they're all inmto the occult.
ONE OF MY FAVORITES February 21, 2010 Rina Schmidt-clevenger (Flower Mound, TX) I started out not liking this one much and the more I listened the more I enjoyed it. "Like a Gypsy" one of my favorites. Full of rhythm, makes you want to dance or sing or both. Full of soul especially if you have a little latin blood. Full of fun, great music for a heavy traffic day - no bad feelings here. Listen a couple of times - well worth the price and the time!
This cd is a good one. February 4, 2010 Victor Jones (Smyrna) There is alot of good song on this cd. I rate this cd a 4.5 . Its great.
Was it Shakira or Britney Spears? January 31, 2010 Steve Hazzard (Wilkes-Barre, PA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was very much looking forward to the new Shakira CD "She Wolf". Damn, I was very disappointed! Honestly, if you blindfolded me and played the "She Wolf" CD (assuming that I never heard the CD), I could not tell you with reasonable accuracy if I was listening to Shakira or Britney Spears! Shakira has gone mainstream pop, not only in her music, but also in her appearance. Now she looks like just another blond pop singer. Shakira has lost her individual identity for the sake of mainstream music sales! The "She Wolf" CD is an abomination of music styles none of which compliment Shakira's abilities or personality. After listening to the first couple of tracks, I sampled the rest of the 16 tracks (a few of which are remixes and/or Spanish versions of an English track, and what's with all the rappers, those tracks are real bummers!), I ejected the CD, put it in its case and stuck in the bottom of my CD collection. I am ashamed to say that I shelled out $15 for this piece of trash! I am hopping that Shakira can return to the roots that got her to the world stage that she occupies today. Otherwise, to use an old vinyl phrase, she'll be stuck in the back of the cut-out rack!
New Album is more than what I expected January 31, 2010 K. R. Smalley (Arizona) What I expected was the usual spanish influenced beats and songs. What I got was an album of multi influenced music that blew my mind. Overall my favorite song includes Lil Wayne, of all people. Very happy with it. I encourage you to purchase this.
