5 out of 5 stars great product!   November 21, 2009
C. Mckee (West Chester, PA USA)
These are the best thing since sliced bread and make the job go so much faster. When I have a large pile of leaves raked up, I slip my hands into the straps and can pick three to five times as many leaves as I can without the scoops, which greatly reduces the amount of bending over. When there are just a couple dozen leaves to be collected, I hold the backs of the scoops and use them like that--saves the time of slipping my hands in plus I don't have to bend over so far.
Thanks, Midwest, for a great product!

5 out of 5 stars Work multiplier   November 12, 2009
M. J. Mccaffrey (Conn., United States)
This is a simply constructed item that will multiply your work effort when you're cleaning up yard debris.

The green plastic "claw" seems to be constructed of a hard, yet somewhat flexible, polypropylene plastic. The claw is held to your wrist with an elasticized band that can be adjusted thanks to Velcro fasteners.

The Lawn Claws work as you would imagine: slip your hands through the loops, fingers spread, and use your new "claws" to scoop up leaves. The wide and broad surface of the claws allows you to pick up a much larger load with each scoop than you possibly could using hands alone.

We used these to fill 35 paper leaf bags for town pick-up, and found that the job went so much more quickly this way. We are now using them to feed a Flowtron leaf shredder for our much larger backyard. These scoops pick up just about the right-size load for the leaf shredder, and make it easier to "jog" the leaves in the hopper.

Flowtron LE-900 The Ultimate Mulcher 8 Amp Electric Leaf Shredder

It's great to have such a simple tool work so well for this annual job, and I recommend it without reservations.

5 out of 5 stars They do the job!   November 2, 2009

Just finished most of fall cleanup; lots of leaves here in mid-Michigan. These leaf scoops were great. Could scoop up large quantities of leaves and scooped up wet compacted leaves fairly well (the latter broke our one rake!) Ordered another pair today as are superior to raking. even if they break at the end of the cleanup season (no sign that they will), at a cost of less than 9 dollars they are a bargain.

4 out of 5 stars My daughter loves them !!!!!   October 30, 2009

I bought these for my daughter to help pay back Dad for the purchase of Jonas Brother tickets. We ended up picking up 20 bushels of leaves in no time. They clean off and store away easily.

5 out of 5 stars Makes a Tough Job a Bit Easier!   October 26, 2009

I am so happy that I bought these! I actually don't mind raking leaves, but bagging them is always SO difficult! These scoops make it much easier, and much faster! They are lightweight, but not flimsy, and aren't so big that they are awkward to use.

Let me recommend the "Bagger Bin" to hold your leaf bag upright and open, which makes it easier to get the leaves into the bag. It doesn't look like much, but it is a brilliant invention! Be sure to watch the videos that were submitted by other Amazon customers.
