Convert from blower to vacuum without tools. |
The metal impeller shreds leaves into a mulch. |
The impeller can reduce up to 16 bags' worth of waste to one bag. | Match the Power to the Task for Better Results Tackle big clean-up jobs the right way with this powerful blower vac. A variable speed 12 Amp motor lets you select from an infinite variety of speeds between 112 mph and 235 mph. This means that you can use low speeds to clear off hard surfaces and clean up tight areas without making a mess and without sacrificing the blower's high-speed functionality. Air Speed and Air Volume to Get Yard Jobs Done Unlike some manufacturers, who simply reduce the size of their blower nozzles to achieve higher air speed ratings without increasing the practical value of their tools, Toro gives this blower vac the ability to balance between air speed (measured in mph) and air volume (measured in cfm) to ensure maximum power and performance. This Ultra blower vac offers air speeds up to 235 mph and air volume up to 255 cfm, allowing you to move a substantial volume of leaves and debris with ease. 3-in-1 Versatility Makes Managing Tasks Easy A convenient quick-release latch lets you convert your blower into a vacuum in seconds without any tools, while a metal impeller makes it easy to mulch debris. The magnesium serrated metal blades on the impeller shred leaves and other unwanted debris into a fine mulch that you can use around your lawn and garden, saving money and recycling important nutrients. It also makes it easy to dispose of unwanted yard waste, since the impeller can reduce 16 bags’ worth of leaves to one bag. Clean and Efficient with Electric Power Compared with gas blowers, electric blowers are quieter, more eco-friendly, and require less maintenance. They start up instantly without requiring you to master a finicky pull cord. There's no messy gas-oil mixture to worry about, and you don't have to contend with noxious fumes to get a job done. This high-powered blower also weighs in at a very manageable 7.5 pounds, making it easy on your back. This blower/vac is backed by a full two-year warranty. What's in the Box Power unit, blower tubes, vac tubes, vac bag, and operators manual.
Even a large yard is easy to clean up with this blower. |

First break after less then 2 hours November 22, 2009 A European In America (Memphis, TN, USA) I bought this tool 2 days ago and used it today first time. Mainly I needed the vac function. It is very easy to assemble and the safety features are great( it will not work if not assembled correctly).
However, the vac will clog easily if the leafs a just a bit bigger, as its the case with my maple tree.
After less then 2 hours of use the plastic tie, used to hold the collection bag onto the connector to the unit, broke.
That is certainly an easy to fix problem, but it still takes time, and maybe not even everybody has just in this moment a 14" tie in the house..
I don't know about the 16:1 reduction ratio, but, hands down, it shreds the leafs indeed into very tiny pieces.
After all, it did the job, even if not exactly as easy as promised.
better than a rake November 21, 2009 Story Jar (Western NY United States) I used this only as a vac and not as a blower. I used the attachment to fill the spring bucket and never used the little bag that it comes with. If the leaves were very wet the vac clogged and had to be repeatedly taken apart to clear out around the blade so that was annoying but if the leaves were very dry then the bucket filled in no time since the dry leaves were fluffy and didn't grind up well. Finally I gently watered the dry leaves or spread out the really wet to let them dry some. The product - the ground leaves - were a great material for compost. The lawn looks good. I often felt that the machine needs a bit more power. It took a long time to get all the leaves off of our lawn. We have about half an acre that is covered in ankle deep leaves every year. The vac was slow and my husband called it a worthless toy but it was a good weight for me to handle and it fits on a small shelf in the garage now that we are finished with it. I didn't want a huge thing to store all year and didn't want to pay hundreds of dollars for it so this is a compromise. As I said, it gives a good product and the mulch was my goal.
Every Homeowner Should Have One! November 16, 2009 Joyce C. Law (Hawley, PA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This afternoon was the first time using the vac feature. It was more like playing with a new toy .. and made cleaning up leaves almost fun! It was very easy to convert from blower to vac. It mulched up the leaves very well. The bag was easy to detach and empty. The variable speed control is wonderful. I am very impressed with this tool and the price was excellent. Thank you Toro! P.S. I have your personal pace lawnmower too .. which I love!
Fantastic! November 15, 2009 J. Hamlin (Columbus, OH USA) I tried out two (quite expensive) gas blowers before giving up and getting this one. It's not even close -- this thing blows them away, quite literally. I was able to accomplish twice the cleanup with half the effort of the gas blowers. Do not hesitate to buy this thing -- you'll be relieved to have such a useful fall cleanup tool.
Good around landscape rock November 15, 2009 Village Looper (The Villages,FL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I mainly use the vacuum feature that works very well to pick up leaves. I especially like the fact that it does not pick up the landscape river rock that I use. The variable speed feature is also useful.
