Great mini digital camera November 22, 2009 William (San Diego CA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It is almost too small for my fingers but sure fits well in my top pocket. I love the way there is no delay between pressing the button and the camera taking the picture... I suspect the faster Ultra II chip helps with this. Snap them off one after the other ... no problem (without flash).
The picture quality seems excellent. I appreciate the viewfinder as an alternate method for framing the picture ... sometimes it is hard to see the screen in sunlight ... or for just quickly pointing it in the right direction and "photoshopping" the resulting 10 megapixel image.
No buyers remorse here ... can't find any short-comings ... well, OK, the little door that covers the usb port has a cheezy hinge.
Canon Does it Again November 22, 2009 C. J. Federowicz (Philadelphia, PA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
We have a Canon 710, bought last year, but it rarely comes out of its case since we recently got the SD1200. It's small, sleek, has a bright and sharp screen image, easily slips into a purse or a jacket pocket, takes very clear and sharp closeups, and has an optical viewfinder which is very useful when taking action shots. A couple of things I don't like are the very small control buttons and ring. It would also be nice to have a more powerful zoom lens. I bought this camera for my special lady, but I've been using it more than she has.
Best camera with good price... November 21, 2009 Rama Krishna Dasu 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Canon SD1200 is small in size, fits in your palm. Picture quality is excellent. It is better than what I expected about this product.
great little camera for the money November 21, 2009 Stuart Richman (Freehold NJ) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this camera to replace my old Canon digital elph SD510. I am really pleased with this camera. The recycle time is the biggest improvement as well as the image quality and great image stability. The facial recognition is excellent and quick. I even found that it will recognize a face on a TV screen. The battery life is also greatly improved and extra batteries are easy to find online. With a 4 GB chip you can take 700 pictures or so, plenty for most of us. Overall great little camera for the money.
Easy to use November 21, 2009 K. Grishina (MN USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love canons because they are easy to use and also provide great picture quality. I also like the small size of this one. It works well. Battery charges fast
