 Poor Quality Engraving Ruins Recommendation October 11, 2009

I bought these tags for my dogs, and thought that they were so adorable, well made and unique, that I decided to give them as pet Xmas presents to family and friends. Of the seven I bought of various sizes, the engraving on 5 of them has worn out after only a year. The tags are very heavy, so there is plenty of depth for quality engraving. I assumed the engraving would last for years and years. The cheap tags I used to buy from the machine at Petco lasted 3 times as long. I'm very disappointed because they really are the cutest tags I've ever seen, but I'll never buy another, nor can I recommend them.

This tag is super cute and extremely well made. I got the purple paw print. It has my dog's name, my email address and phone number. Even the ring that it comes with is sturdy. My little Emma (5 month old golden retriever)has managed to rip off other dog tags in the past but this one isn't going anywhere. But the best part was the company. They very quickly sent me an email requesting further information. That email was eaten by my spam filter and they sent a follow up email a couple days later. I got a response from them almost immediately when I sent the requested information. Three days later I saw that the company had a matching dog collar and ordered one of those. The company emailed me to say that since I had bought two items, it pushed me up over the $20 threshold and they refunded 10% of both purchases. They didn't have to do that. AWESOME! Emma is currently 45 pounds and is expected to go to around 65 to 75 pounds. The medium size is on the big side for her now but when she adds on that 20 to 30 pounds, it will be perfect. Even if she weren't going to get any bigger, I would still be happy with the size.

Engraved, not inked on so it won't rub off with soaps and repellents and frontline. Also very cute, seems very durable. Will go with these tags for now on. It's the least expensive tag I have ever purchased because it's built to last.
