I use my Superyard with the extension for protection around my wood burning stove and the hearth which it sets. Works well with or without mounting. It has many other versatile uses.

The gates we used previously were no problem for my kids to get past, making it very dangerous for them around the exercise equipment. My husband installed this gate with little effort. To open the door you have to lift up and move a switch over, so the kids can't figure it out yet. Mine are 4 and 2. It also looks nice and doesn't "junk up" our house. Great gate!

We were looking to box in the Christmas tree to keep our 19 month old twins away from it and the Superyard wasn't quite big enough by itself. I had purchased it at a MAJOR BABY RETAILER and they don't stock the extension pieces for some stupid reason; only for the plastic version. I called North States and they gave me three places where I might find it. Once again Amazon came through for me.
