I purchased this book after seeing the movie. The movie was so charmingly good, that I had to see if the book was anything like the movie.
The answer was yes, the important scenes were there, although, in some cases, with different circumstances. It was Hollywoodized, but still true to the book.
The book and movie were laugh out loud good in most respects and sad when it needed to be. A very heartwarming tale. Loved it.
The book left me wondering about Mr. Grogan's daily columns for the Miami paper, I would have loved to have been one of his daily readers. He spins a good yarn that is based on fact. That is the mark of a great story teller. Always leave them wanting more... In my opinion it is a rare gift.
Mr. Grogan has it.
Loved it. Both the book and the movie.

I loved this book! I read the book before the movie even came out and I'm so glad i did. The movie was good too, but there was just so much more the book had to offer than a 90 minute movie could include! I grew up with a lab (a black lab - NOT named Marley!) and I found myself laughing and crying throughout this book. Any dog owner, or pet-owner, should read this book. No matter how well behaved your own dog is, you can relate! I've read this book twice - once when it first came out in paperback and once right before we got a new puppy, and I'll probably read it again as well. I recommend this book to everyone looking for a feel-good, heart-warming, easy-read.

The Crazy Marley
The book Marley and me is a very challenging and funny but also sad but if you like dogs defiantly read this book. Marley is a very entertaining dog and also a hyper dog. This book is very sand though but also you will be laughing a lot. The author John Cogan had very good ideas in his book. It was also very exciting and hilarious. I could not believe what stuff Marley did.

In the book Marley and me two people got married and they get a puppy. When they first brought it home it terrised the house and it was bouncing off the walls. When their new puppy did not what to sleep. It just got what it wanted by chewing through the walls. Ten years later it couldn't even walk up the stairs and when it got hurt they had to pick between death or life. When they picked they said death because he was very old. So they buried him in their back yard and they all said there good buys. Later on they were looking in a news paper and there was a dog and his name was lucky so they went to go see the dog and they said that they well you have to find out when you read the book.
The favorite part of the book was when they got Marley it was very funny because he jumped on them. When they first brought him home he tarried up everything it was stressful. The first night he stayed there he chewed through the wall because he was lonely and john did not know so when he woke up Marley chewed up all the pillows. John was very mad but it was very funny he said in the book. Marley's life was very challenging
The most important thing I learned about this book is that even know your dog does something bad still give it love because it will passed away. So spend time with it before the last second before it dies.
Other books that john Cogan wrote are Marley and me, Marley and me illustrated edition, bad dog Marley and also bad dog Marley beloved book and plush puppy. I bet those books are good to.
This book is one of the bests I have ever read and make it one of the best's books you have ever read so pick this book up and read it!

This time I bought this book as a gift. I own a labrador (marley type!) This book helped me love my dog more. The book is way better than the movie. You'll laugh, you'll cry and you'll fall in love with a crazy dog.

I simply loved this book! I couldn't put it and down and read it nonstop until I finished it. I've never read a book that made me laugh so much. The ending is quite sad and made me shed a few tears but it was such a wonderful book. Extremely well written and not a dull page. If you are a dog lover or even an animal lover you will love this book.
