| Customer Reviews: Great study guide for the NREMT-1 Exam October 18, 2009 nikon fan (Somewhere in CA) Used this and passed with 70 questions on the 1st try. That pretty much sums up the value of this study guide. This was used in conjuntion with other books as well, but thsi is a great book. Get it.
If you're trying to pass the NREMT then BUY THIS BOOK!!! October 17, 2009 Karley H. Wetterling (Arlington, TX) I graduated EMT school and had to wait a month before taking the NREMT. Once I finally got to take it, I was only 82 questions in before it cut me off. Which means I either did really good or really bad. And as it turns out, I did really bad. Then I knew I had to study. I read some of the reviews for other EMT study guide on Amazon, but what sold me on this book was that some people had used it and passed at around 70 questions.
So I ordered it. Then used it to study for two weeks straight before taking the exam. The second time I took it the computer shut me off at 70 questions. Less than the time it shut me off before. I was nervous. My results came in a few days ago. I PASSED!!!!
This book is really amazing. It covers all thew major topics without bombarding you with needless information that the EMT textbooks have in it. The questions were almost exactly the same as the ones on the actual National Registry Exam. BUY THIS BOOK!!!
Real review and success for the EMT-B May 31, 2009 I. Perez 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought this book when taking the NREMT-B test after waiting three months after the class to take it. It made for a great review material to help refresh my mind. Took my time with this and coupled along with Bradys EMT-B National Standards Self Test 3rd edition I passed my test at 70 questions. Word of advice, stay away from Kaplan's study material.
The BEST review book ever!!!!! April 18, 2008 newcomer08 (AL) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I brought this book(Success for the EMT) March 15th, along with several other books to help me review for the NREMT computer based test, and this one was the BEST...I found the question(s) format be similar to CBT, the sectional break-down of each area helped me to find and improve my weak points, and the best thing about this book I found not one "typo". The book contained over a 1,000 Q&A with detailed explanations. I worked through this whole book once and my weak areas twice... As of yesterday,(April 17th, 2008), I PASSED the NREMT-B with less than 70 questions answered... I say "thank you" to the people of Success! Thank You....
Great for Success!!! February 27, 2008 JMSCOTT (Crescent City, CA USA) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought this book for reviewing questions for my EMT national registry exam, and I like this book a lot because it has a great range of Q & A pertaining to the EMT exam. From EMS interdiction, The Well Being of an EMT, Med/Legal, The Human Body, Baseline vital Signs and SAMPLE History, to BLS, ALS and more. I would recommend this book to whoever needs to brush up on their EMT Skills or Practice for an exam.
