Product Description Okay, so at least you're interested enough to pick up this book and look inside. I think you and I are going to get along just fine.
Life is full of choices. Right now, yours is whether or not to buy the autobiography of a mid-grade, kind of hammy actor.
Am I supposed to know this guy? you think to yourself.
No, and that's exactly the point. Bookstores are chock full of household name actors and their high stakes shenanigans. I don't want to be a spoilsport, but we've all been down that road before.
Case in point: look to your left - see that Judy Garland book? You don't need that, you know plenty about her already - great voice, crappy life. Now look to your right at the Charlton Heston book. You don't need to cough up hard-earned dough for that either. You know his story too - great voice, crappy toupee.
The truth is that though you might not have a clue who I am, there are countless working stiffs like me out there, grinding away every day at the wheel of fortune.
If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B Movie Actor is my first book, and I invite you to ride with me through the choppy waters of blue collar Hollywood.
Okay, so buy the damned book already and read like the wind!
Best, Bruce Campbell
P.S. If the book sucks, at least there are gobs of pictures, and they're not crammed in the middle like all those other actor books.

If only chins could kill October 8, 2009 Bo Østergaard Jepsen (Beijing, China) I, as I'm sure any and all who purchase this book is, am a great Bruce Campbell fan. I don't belong to the deadites, nor to the Xena/Hercules fans; I just think he's funny. This book is, as one would expect, also very amusing. It is not laugh out loud funny, nor should it be, but there are quite a few amusing anecdotes and the way in which Campbell writes is in itself quite clever and witty. The reader gets to know not a few things about independent filmmaking, and indeed big budget filmmaking as seen from the less than spectacularly glamourous aspect of a star director or leading actor/actress. I was all caught up in the spirit of the indie-film after reading this book, and was actually ready to go ahead and try to produce a flick of my own.
I guess this book is just about what you'd expect it to be. It has that certain Bruce Campbellishness that makes it just so good. I will, however, join those who say, that there is a certain lack of depth in some parts of the book. That doesn't really subtract that much, though. It is still clever and well written.
Any Bruce Campbell fan will like this, I should think.
Bruce Campbell Book October 5, 2009 Michele R. Schelin (Spotsylvania, VA USA) I love the book! It gives a lot of insight to one of my favorite actors! A very good book for Bruce Campbell fans!
This book had me smiling throughout the read. Very fun. August 22, 2009 B. Cannon (Pennsylvania) What an enjoyable book! As a film buff, and a "Brisco County, Jr." fan, I looked forward to learning more about Bruce Campbell. This book really, though, is a terrific inside look into the movie making industry. The details about making "Evil Dead" included camera work, special effects, make-up - all on a shoestring budget. Campbell writes with humility, self-awareness, and great humor. Anyone thinking of breezing into a career in acting should read this book for a reality-check. I loved it!
If Chins Could Kill June 21, 2009 T. J. Benham (Enid, OK USA) This book gave me the insight to what happened during the production of several of my favorite movies. Also I also learned that everything as entertaining as Bruce Cambell's films are never easy to make. Great buy for aspiring film makers.
Bruce Campbell is the master June 9, 2009 Gene Farwell If chins could kill is all about BRUUCE! Not Springsteen,Bruce Campbell. If you are a fan, than you will love this book! There is funny stuff about his childhood, his teenage years, and much more.It is hilarious and full of details.Sam Raimi,& Rob Tapert stuff,it's all good! Highly Recomended.
