Product Description A woman driven by blood. A man thirsting for vengeance. A place where darkness and desire meet...
As night falls, Claire Roth flees, driven from her home by a fiery threat that seems to come from hell itself. Then, from out of the flames and ash, a vampire warrior emerges. He is Andreas Reichen, her onetime lover, now a stranger consumed by vengeance. Caught in the cross fire, Claire cannot escape his savage fury—or the hunger that plunges her into his world of eternal darkness and unending pleasure.
Nothing will stop Andreas from destroying the vampire responsible for slaughtering his Breed brethren . . . even if he must use his former lover as a pawn in his deadly mission. Blood-bonded to his treacherous adversary, Claire can lead Andreas to the enemy he seeks, but it is a journey fraught with danger—and deep, unbidden desires. For Claire is the one woman Andreas should not crave, and the only one he’s ever loved. A dangerous seduction begins—one that blurs the lines between predator and prey, and stokes the flames of a white-hot passion that may consume all in its path. . . .

Great Series! November 16, 2009 Misty Tiller (San Antonio, Texas USA) This series is almost like reading a different type of J.R. Ward, Black Brotherhood book. It has some different twists to it and keeps you wanting more each time you read the new book in the series. I highly recommend it for all readers interested in paranormal romance, thrillers, and vampires.
Lackluster November 9, 2009 MomOfThree 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I'm losing my infatuation with this series. The main character in this installment, Andreas Reichan, was introduced to us earlier in the series. He was depcited as an easygoing, life-loving playboy. A catastrophe occurred in the previous book that changed him into a dark, edgy character hell bent on revenge. I'm not sure the transformation was entirely believeable. But, I was willing to suspend disbelief on that point. He reunites with the love of his life, Claire, who was barely hinted at in prior installments. So here we are with this darker, no-more-mr. nice guy version of Andreas and the hardly mentioned love of his life. Throw in some gratuitous sex scenes (at least one involving a couple from previous installments). Add a pinch (and JUST a pinch) of drama. Voila. You have Ashes of Midnight. So far, my least favorite in the series. The chemistry between Claire and Andreas was not there for me. I wasn't interested in the plot. Don't even recall it exactly. Diehard fans of the series may like it. But, I tend to judge books on their stand alone value, even if I like the series. In my opinion, this book fails as a stand alone. Further, it does little to advance the series.
book, ashes of midnight October 24, 2009 Cynthia M. Stock (NM) Books were well written, humor, drama and very explict. Almost felt like I was reading porno though. I don't know if that is good or bad. Although it was highly engaging and a fun read. Read all six in the series. Looking forward to the new release next year. Already pre-ordered. Under 18 years of age shouldn't be reading it.

This is another great "Midnight Breed" book. It was hard to get into the book at the beginning but once I did - I really enjoyed it. Claire and Andreas have a pretty good love story. I enjoyed that the book had more of the old couples in this book. I like hearing about the other couples I love so dearly.
Midnight Series by Lara Adrian September 25, 2009 Sass-A-Frass I found the first book as a free download and was instantly hooked. After I finished the first book I immediately bought the rest of the series. They are very, very, very good. I've gotten my mother addicted to them as well!
