Product Description Newsweek called renowned minister Timothy Keller a C. S. Lewis for the twenty-first century in a feature on his first book, The Reason for God. In that book, he offered a rational explanation of why we should believe in God. Now, in The Prodigal God, he uses one of the best-known Christian parables to reveal an unexpected message of hope and salvation.
Taking his trademark intellectual approach to understanding Christianity, Keller uncovers the essential message of Jesus, locked inside his most familiar parable. Within that parable Jesus reveals God's prodigal grace toward both the irreligious and the moralistic. This book will challenge both the devout and skeptics to see Christianity in a whole new way.

The Prodigal God November 22, 2009 R. Garrison (Michigan) Timothy Keller brings it home for all of us of the Christian faith. Excellent and easy read, but profound in it's depth. Highly recommend it for new and old Christians alike. There's something for all of us to ponder and work into our walk with Christ.
Great book to give a new prospective on a classic bible story. November 20, 2009 Auburn Girl This book is a wonderful fresh prospective that is very insightful. I love his style of writing and it is a very easy read.
Clear Biblical teaching on a well-known parable November 19, 2009 D. Thomas (NY) Pastor Keller provides an excellent explanation on what most know as "The Parable of the Prodigal Son". However, he points out that the parable is actually about TWO sons, and draws our attention to the entire story, putting it in historical context and giving us application for today. A thoroughly enjoyable, Biblically sound teaching CD.
A MUST November 4, 2009 M. Mallory YOU HAVE TO READ THIS BOOK. IT PUTS A WHOLE NEW SPIN ON THE PRODIGAL SON PARABLE, FOCUSING ON THE OLDER SON RATHER THAN THE YOUNGER SON WHO LEFT HOME. READ IT. YOU WILL BE BLESSED!
Great view of the "Prodigal" parable November 4, 2009 Dennis G. Riley Tim Keller gives a new view to God in a well known parable. This view helps us understand Grace. Amen and thank you brother Keller!
