* How to identify your dog's natural behavioral rhythms--and use them to your advantage
* How to cope with housebreaking lapses, marking territory, separation anxiety, and health problems

Minimal, but accurate information, overpriced November 20, 2009 Arthur Bradley (Virginia) We bought this book to help potty train our new Golden Retriever puppy, Sadie Rose. If you're already familiar with housebreaking a dog, the book doesn't contain anything new. Simply control the puppy's eating and drinking schedule, and take him/her outside every hour to the same spot. The advice in the book is fine, please don't misunderstand. But it is a very tiny book, and the info can be readily found for free all over the web. This book would be fine for a couple dollars, but not for $7.99.
big help for toilet training old dog November 19, 2009 Daniel O. Strongin (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) why don't they ever show this stuff on dog training shows... because you can't change the dog in only a day! you need at least 7...
Very concise and informative October 12, 2009 A. Estey This book was concise and informative. Exactly what I was hoping for. The technique worked like a charm for my Husky puppy (11 weeks old).
I could sum this book up in one short sentence August 31, 2009 L. Russell (Tennessee) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book can be summed up in one short sentence: Take your dog outside, a lot. The book is cheaply bound and cheaply printed and reads more like an extended article or pamphlet than a scholarly tome. However, I am a complete novice in the dog-training arena, and it gave me some good "duh"-type advice. But, as several people have mentioned, you can get almost the same advice by Googling the subject. By the way, I followed the advice religiously. It's been seven (actually 10) days and the poor dog hasn't a clue. I am stepping up and finding other material for us. My best advice: Find another book and get a lot of paper towels and a good pet stain cleaner.

This book is excellent for everyone who really follows all the steps and has the time and patience to do it. If you really put 100% into this training you will have amazing results.
