Amazon.com Review Product Description Witty, one-of-a-kind imaginative cupcake designs using candies from the local convenience store. America's favorite food photography team, responsible for the covers of America's top magazines, shows how to create funny, scary, and sophisticated masterpieces, using a zipper lock bag and common candies and snack items. With these easy-to-follow techniques, even the most kitchen-challenged cooks can • raise a big-top circus cupcake tier for a kid's birthday • plant candy vegetables on Oreo earth cupcakes for a garden party • trot out a line of confectionery "pupcakes" for a dog fancier • serve sausage and pepperoni pizza cupcakes for April Fool's Day • bewitch trick-or-treaters with chilly ghost chocolate cupcakes • create holidays on icing with turkey cupcake place cards, a white cupcake Christmas wreath, and Easter egg cupcakes
No baking skills or fancy pastry equipment is required. Spotting the familiar items in the hundreds of brilliant photos is at least half the fun. Recipe Excerpts from Hello, Cupcake! Sleepyhead Cupcakes | Corn on the Cob Cupcakes |

Impress your friends and family! November 14, 2009 K. Milligan (mi United States) This is a great book, but be prepared for any of the projects to take hours--especially if you are making a couple dozen for school etc.
I made my own frosting for the sharks and really regretted it. I will use the store-bought for recipes that really need to have holding power ie. have different parts and ESPECIALLY if they need to be dipped. I did the aliens as well...store-bought is the way to go. I also did the Westies that are featured on the cover--a homemade frosting worked great.
I do not recommend the included cupcake recipes--they were dry and gross. Use your own recipe, or just a box mix.
A great book that will give me fun ideas for years to come.
Hello Cupcake! November 13, 2009 Susan Brown (UK) I was shown this product by my step-daughter and I loved it that much I had to get one myself.
In fact several of my family also enjoy creating so I purchased 4 books in total and shipped each one to the varying members of my family. They also loved the book.
I have made the spaghetti bolognese cup cake so far and the birthday girl (who was 55) was absolutely taken aback by how realistic the Ferraro Rocher looked as meatballs. She was extremely impressed.
I am about to try out the allotment and I know one of my other family is trying out the snooker balls.
All the books came quicker than expected and in fantastic condition. The instructions in the book are easy to follow and you can find alternatives for the sweet ingredients if you are in another country.
If you are thinking of purchasing this book then I highly recommend it, you will love it.

Be an amateur, but look like a pro! November 3, 2009 J. Tompkins I've already tried several decorating ideas from this book and have impressed friends and family.
