Amazon.com sold me shelf-waned book as new one. September 19, 2009 mount. (seattle) I purchased this book from amazon.com LLC as new book.
But I received shelf waned book and the package was untidy.
I doubt Amazon.com gave me a book which was already corner-bent book.
Cannot believe their 'new' anymore.
Be careful!
Good for knowledge and PTExam July 7, 2008 Khurram Khan 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Excellent book for PTExam along with conquer PTExam. Excellant book for refrence as well. Highly recommended.
Excellent reference November 10, 2007 S. Chao (Winston-Salem, NC) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Sidebotham's book is an excellent text for those learning intra-operative TEE. The book provides a good overview of each area, but does not go into too much detail about specifics. However, I would recommend that anyone learning TEE begin with this book to gain a broad and relatively comprehensive overview before trying to tackle a more comprehensive text. The CD images are decent, but nothing too impressive.
Very practical, indeed. May 26, 2007 Q-fever (Chicago, IL USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book covers most everything you need to know to about actually performing and interpreting intraop TEE. It's not one of those giant academic tomes (only 266pp total) full of minutiae and study references. Rather, it's true to its title that it's a practical guide. It's small size also makes it very easy to use in the OR. I use it every time I do TEE. The CD-ROM was great. Tons of great info and mpegs. I haven't had any persistent problems with the CD and I've used it on 3 different computers. The CD (and book) helped me pass the echo boards. It's the only book I read (unless you count "Board Stiff TEE"). That being said, there were some pretty esoteric questions on the boards that weren't thoroughly covered in this book. But then, this is not a boards review book. Overall, an excellent book.

I found this text to be an excellent introduction to echocardiography. The CD is an invaluable asset.
