5 out of 5 stars The Ultimate Dog Treat Cookbook   July 25, 2009

This is a excellant cookbook. I have had this cook book for 2 years. I have had made almost every recipe. They were all good ! the best judge was my 3 year old mini Dachshund, Nikki. He drooled over all of them ! Because I cook alot, I did not think the recipes were all that difficult.
As for the ingridients, I just put them on my shopping list.Because I have been doing this for awhile I have alot of the ingridients on hand.
All I can say is make a recipe and see if your dog loves them. BTW,these
recipes were approved by my vet. Nikki is healthy, active and normal weight. I also make my own dog food. Thanks, Georgia :)

Three are outrageous recipes for goodies for your dogs...even low cal recipes! I know my dog seems to love me just a bit more when I'm baking her treats now!

3 out of 5 stars Somewhat Dissapointed   March 7, 2009

Some of the recipes I tried in this book called for items that were found to have onion flavoring in them. For example Campbells Chunky Chicken Soup has onion flavoring in it. Onion is very toxic to dogs, and I feel that the book is somewhat contradictory. On a positive note, the book taught me to read labels before putting it in my dog treats. My Great Danes are grateful to that as well. Wouldn't want to hurt these beautiful creatures, or any of my other canine friends.

I loved this book so much, I bought a copy for a friend as a Christmas gift. She also has been enjoying the recipes for her furry pals.
