Since forms training is intended to be a reflection of actual combat, descriptive text also outlines the combative purpose behind each movement, as well as common alternate interpretations. While many books on forms have been produced over the years, none offer the level of detail, accuracy, and technical description provided by this text.

This is by far the best forms book out. Design, clarity and detail are great. The author has included applications for many of the moves, so you don't need to wonder, "What is it I'm doing here?" It's all explained in the book.
WTF standards are a moving target, and this book hits all the forms down the middle of the road. You can never represent the "REAL" WTF standard forms since "Standards" change all the time.
A timeless book for any taekwondo student or teacher.

Like other books from Master Tadeschi, this book has a fantastic design and very nice pictures. But... The World Taekwondo Federation, preparing for the 1st world championship in poomsae, has set a standard for all the poomsae. This book does not follow this standard. I guess it was already ready to be published when the new standard came out... Thus, the technique names and execution are not done according to the WTF way. This makes this book of less intrest in case your dojang teaches the poomsae according to the new standard or if you plan to compete in poomsae.
