Editorial Reviews:

Book Description
Written in the warm and accessible manner of a knowledgeable girlfriend, this highly unique book is the first to enable women to evaluate their own risk of miscarriage and take steps to reduce that risk.

There are only four major causes of miscarriage, and targeted questionnaires help each woman clarify whether she might be at higher risk in any of these areas. Each cause is explained thoroughly but clearly, with the information and support women need to improve their chance of future successful pregnancy. This makes the book as relevant for women who have never even been pregnant as it is for women who have experienced miscarriage.

The book presents a detailed overview of miscarriage, dispels common myths, provides flow charts to help reveal the cause of any previous unexplained loss, and offers positive, practical options for action.

It is written from the patient's perspective, drawing on sympathetic case studies to introduce each chapter and presenting complex medical research in a way that is easy to understand. The reassuring and upbeat tone inspires a positive attitude, and the book enables each woman to identify the path that is right for her based on her unique personality and circumstances.

5 out of 5 stars Great book   November 4, 2009

To those who have had no idea about miscarriage until it happened to you- this is a wonderful book. It explains the main reason why women miscarry so you can see why it might have happened to you. Treatments are explained, and self-assessments assist you along the way. I highly recommend this book to anybody looking for answers during a very challenging time.

5 out of 5 stars Important information   October 31, 2009

This book has been helped me to find some answers and helped to prepare me to talk more with my Doctor about things we should do before and during our next pregnancy. After my miscarriage the hospital tested the placenta and umbilical cord and found no abnormalities, which was really upsetting. I was 14 weeks and had seen the baby's heartbeat twice before we found out that he had died. I was left with absolutely no answers and no reason as to what may have happened.

I wish that I had read this book before I had gotten pregnant. I recommend it to anyone who has gone through a miscarriage.

This is a fabulous book if you have experienced a miscarriage. It is clearly written, easy to understand and well organized. I ordered this book with the hope that I would get it before my follow up appointment after my miscarriage so that I would be as prepared and informed as possible, but it unfortunately came a few days later than I expected (my fault as I chose Super Free Shipping). I was able to finish the book in less than a full day and felt much better after I finished reading it. I also really admire that the author paid to have this book published and printed herself and I am actually quite shocked that such a valuable and well writen read would have so much difficulty getting published.

5 out of 5 stars with my 5th miscarriage this was the best read yet   March 16, 2009

Just finished reading this book in 3 nights. this is my first time ever writting in about a book it was that good of a read.
I have read several book on the subject, many not so helpful, others read like a manual and still others were to `basic' for what i was looking for, and i hated the ones that were too hard to undertand. I personally am far from basic infertility issues (one child 5 losses). I though this book was really good, even if you haven't had a miscarriage and I hope you Never will, I thought this book was an excellent read for anyone who is TTC, it really explained many things (hormonal imbalance, uterine abnormalities, autoimmune disorders, chromosomal abnormalities, immunological disorders etc) and many topics I have known about but didn't really understand or found too much information on the internet that was just to much.
buy this book, read it, and then read it again.
good luck to each of you.
