Beautiful Images! February 28, 2009 GI Jane (Cleveland, OH USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book is worth the money, even if it is displayed on your desk or coffee table! It is filled with the most amazing places and the second you pick it up all you want to do is put together a list of where you will go first! I am using this book currently to help plan for a trip in South America. I do not want to go through a travel agency so I am collecting as much information as I can prior to my departure so I can hit the ground running. I know I can utilize this book for my future travel plans and it will not lead me astray!
Places I'd Love to Visit January 16, 2009 L. Steiner (nj) 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
I love Nat Geo photography books, and recently purchased this one for some travel ideas, even if only in my dreams. The photographs were up to their usual excellent standards, so I wasn't disappointed. There were some amazing pics of Easter Island and Tibet, and many other of the most beautiful places on earth and I really enjoyed them. There are limited descriptions of each place photographed, but they let the photos tell most of the story. There is a helpful planning section that describes various festivals and the best time to visit each area. Great purchase!
Granddaughter's Delight January 6, 2009 S. Stoops (Sacramento, CA United States) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this book for my granddaughter who is in her first year at Northwestern University. She is a photojournalism major, and is considering religion as her second major. She was thrilled with the book. She has already traveled to many countries, and while scanning the book on Christmas day, said it was very informative, as she began to plan many of her future travels.
Great! December 19, 2008 K. guerra 8 out of 11 found this review helpful
For christmas this year, i saw this book and knew i had to buy it for my dad. I recieved the book and once i picked it up, i couldn't put it down! The colorful graphics are breath-taking and along the side there are explanations of all the places. Sometimes we forget about all the beauty in this world. There are some places and temples i've never even heard of. I want to go to every single place in this book. This book is a MUST HAVE for anyone who appreciates travel and culture.
