Product Description
Health Is a Choice . . .

Elizabeth had chronic fatigue for eight years and suffered from debilitating arthritis for which she took powerful pain medications. Despite numerous trips to medical doctors and alternative practitioners, her pain and exhaustion left her unable to work. Then she learned about Ray Francis's miraculous work. Within a few months, her pain was gone and her energy soared. A year later she returned to work, making a six-figure income. "Raymond gave me my life back," she said.

Albert suffered from "untreatable" depression for nearly ten years, which left him suicidal. After meeting Ray Francis, Albert learned that his diet of processed foods and addiction to sugar were the crux of his problem. Within one week after implementing Francis's eating plan, he felt better physically and looked forward to a long, healthy life.

Three-year-old Anne experienced inexplicable seizures. Examined by a dozen specialists, she had been treated with antiseizure medication to no avail. In desperation, her parents consulted with Ray Francis who surmised that her newly painted, carpeted and furnished bedroom was a toxic soup. After sleeping in another room, Anne's seizures stopped. Today she is a normal, healthy child.

These people learned how to choose health over illness; wellness over disease—and so can you. Health doesn't happen by chance, but by choice, and you can take steps now to ensure that you will live free of the diseases that plague our society.

A life-threatening medical condition led Ray Francis, a chemist and graduate of MIT, to formulate a revolutionary theory of health and disease: there is only one disease, only two causes of disease, and six pathways to health and disease. His findings and astounding recovery supported his conclusion that almost all diseases can be both prevented and reversed.

This remarkable book is health in one lesson. It cuts through the confusion, demystifies disease and gives you answers to these questions: What is health? What is disease? Why do people get sick? How can disease be prevented? How can it be reversed? Through provocative case studies and cutting-edge scientific research, you will learn an entirely new way to look at health and disease. It is an approach that is easy to understand, yet so powerful that you may, indeed, never have to be sick again.

1 out of 5 stars One big adversitesement for website.   October 23, 2009

The book seemed to be great, until I realize that it is just one big adversitesement for the website. How can I trust that any of the information found in the book is true when they are selling the products mentioned in it. I will continue to resech this topic and hope to find some information that is not influensed by making money.

5 out of 5 stars Highly Recommend   October 12, 2009

This book is incredible. I recommend it to anyone who has any kind of health problems, or wants to eat healthier, or wants to make their life as natural as possible. If I won the lottery, I would buy this book for everyone I know.

4 out of 5 stars Compelling...Definitely worth a read!   October 9, 2009

This book has really opened my eyes to the modern world we live in today. When one stops to think for a moment, we are constantly exposed to toxins from various sources throughout our daily lives. It's time to have the wool pulled back from our eyes, and that is exactly what this book aims to do. The research that has gone into this book is very interesting and thought-provoking.

My only "complaint" about the book is that it leaves you with the feeling that it is nearly impossible to escape all of the toxins we are all exposed to, so it made me feel a bit helpless. However, there are many things we can do to improve our health that have nothing to do with the medical community. It is time we all learn that medication is not always the answer to cure our ailments. The answer may be lying right in front of you at your local supermarket.

5 out of 5 stars Chronic Illness   October 2, 2009

I must admit I haven't read this book yet, but it was recommended to me by someone else with chronic illness. I look forward to getting into it.

5 out of 5 stars Very informative, great overview! Several disagreements, but still a great find.   August 7, 2009
Olivia C. (Los Angeles, CA)
I will start off by saying that I don't think this book is perfect and I don't agree 100% with everything claimed. As a vegan, I disagree that vegetarians/vegans miss nutrients, and I think 100% raw diets are preferable to the 80% he is recommending. I'm also not totally sold on needing to take vitamins, though I am curious enough that I bought a bottle of vitamin C. My opinion is that if you are eating enough fruits and veggies, you'll get what you need and in a form that your body is able to absorb, so supplements aren't really necessary.

I am giving this 4 stars though because I think this offers a really great overview of what we can do differently to improve our health. I like the way that the info is broken down a lot. I have for a long time been considering a raw diet, and this really helped push me over the edge. But as someone who is already really interested in dietary changes, what was most helpful for me was the information on environmental toxins and the appendix with particular brands of personal care products that are safer to use. I had not been considering all the things we are exposed to - I don't think most people ever consider that the stuff in their shampoo might be giving them cancer. That was a wakeup call to me to go to the natural food store and buy some natural personal care products. I also ordered a shower filter and am going to really limit my cell phone use. He also sold me on the need to buy organic products, which I hadn't been doing usually since I can walk to the corner store and get produce more easily.

I am recommending this to everyone I know not because I think it is the perfect cure all but because it offers the fundamentals really well in a clear and concise way. This doesn't just go over one aspect, but talks about the wider range of what is good and bad for you and what you can do in all areas of your life to improve your health but also just improve your quality of life and yourself. Definitely worth the 15 bucks.
