5 out of 5 stars GREAT FOR NEW PUPPY PARENTS   November 3, 2009
Denise Arzoian
There's a volume of good information here. Read the book before
you buy the dog. It will guide you from deciding which breed is right for your family to how to potty train.

5 out of 5 stars Great Reference Book!   September 13, 2009

I read this book within a few days and it provided me with SO much information! At first I was overwhelmed, but afterward I felt informed and confident to raise a well-behaved pet. The information is broken down into sections, based on age, which I found very helpful. You can browse back through those chapters periodically as your puppy grows. It also addressed different behaviors and personalities (both in the pup and person) and how training should differ. Overall, very helpful book that I will keep within reach for a while!

Good book to have with you and puppy to refer to on a daily basis. Good pictures on training techniques.

In contrast to another dog training CD I bought this one gets high marks. It is full of very good, practical information even for someone who has trained several dogs. I would recommend it to any puppy owner.

Very good book. Provides excellent suggestions and explanations to get off on the right foot with your new puppy. I have referred back to different chapters on numerous occasions.
