From the supplier: There is dire need to impose international restraints on landmines and the use of laser weapons. There are still 100 million landmines that must be detected and eliminated in some countries in Africa and West Asia. These landmines cause the death of 150 to 300 victims per week. Laser weapons field-tested by the US Army, on the other hand, have been found to cause permanent blindness among targets. A new protocol that would prohibit the use of these blinding lasers must be implemented.
