This video is divided into three parts. Part One, Patrol Dogs Of The United States Air Force, is narrated and focuses on dog training for assignments in Vietnam and on Air Force bases, with scenes of German Shepherds on the job at military facilities.
Part two is not narrated and contains rare unedited film footage of dogs and their Army handlers in Vietnam. Includes dogs being put through training exercises and working in the field under combat conditions. Includes excellent footage of German Shepherd sentry dogs working with 88th Military Police Co. and Labrador Retrievers working in operational activities with the 66th Infantry Combat Tracker Dog Platoon.
Part Three is a narrated USAF training film for dog handlers and covers numerous topics related to emergencies such as shock, wounds and fractures that could arise in the field.
