Gives you total control when walking your dog. The soft nylon collar fits around its face without restricting the mouth. Wow! What a difference! My dog is a pit bull mix, and is very strong. Walking her was a battle, even with a standard choke collar. With the Halti Headcollar, she's like a different dog. It took a few times for her to be accepting of it, but now we are both enjoying our walks, and people comment about what a well-behaved dog I have. Make sure you tighten it properly. The first time I had it on it slipped and was poking her in the eye. Also, keep your lead tight enough that it doesn't hang too low is important. She did manage to get pull it off until I had the hang of it. Fortunately, it has a back up attachement to the regular collar.

I could not get my dog to accept a Gentle Leader Head Collar and her walks ceased to be fun for her as she fought against it all the time. A friend suggested I try a Halti and from the moment I put it on, she was a different dog. It's obviously more comfortable on her and tho' my issue with her was not pulling but lagging, use of the Halti has corrected that. I had ordered a size 3 as the literature suggested; it was too big for my ex-racing Greyhound. I exchanged it for a size two, which fits perfectly. I recommend the Halti over the Gentle Leader.

WE used to use these on the dogs when I trained at Guide Dogs and they were great. I have since gotten started using the gentle leader head collar and might like them a little better, but both are terrific. Both are known for actually helping your dog feel calmer by stimulating certain pressure points. Above all it is a fantastic solution if your dog pulls on walks. You'll be amazed how well it works.
