This means more of you walking your dog and less of your dog walking you. Unlike traditional collars, the Gentle Leader® Easy WalkTM Harness never causes coughing, gagging, or choking because the chest strap rests low across the breastbone, not on the delicate tracheal area. The strong nylon is both soft and adjustable in four places for maximum fit and comfort. There is a quick snap buckle on both the shoulder and belly straps, plus a complementary color for the belly strap, making the harness easy to put on and take off. It's easy to fit and easy to use, that's why they call it Easy Walk! Lifetime Guarantee: if your Premier Gentle Leader has any sort of accidental damage or hardware failure, including chewage, you can exchange it for a new harness. This guarantee does not include harnesses that are simply dirty, outgrown or lost. If you purchased it from us, just return the damaged item to us and enclose payment of $5.95 for return shipping. For dogs with additional training issues like jumping, barking, excessive pulling and lunging, we recommend the Gentle Leader Headcollar. Do not use the Gentle Leader Easy Walk Harness with a retractable leash. With a retractable leash, the dog is rewarded with more leash and less resistance when he pulls ahead. You want the dog to learn to NOT pull ahead. In addition, a retractable leash will always apply a slight constant pressure, teaching your dog it is okay to continue pulling.

Our vet recommended we get this for our lab puppy who was hard to walk because he pulled a lot with the leash on his regular collar. The Gentle Leader collar works like a miracle! McClane walks right next to us and does not jump or pull even when he passes another dog. I love this collar and would recommend it to anyone.

I bought this because my puppy constantly pulled ahead on the leash. I liked how the leash connection is in front, on the chest. It prevents him from pulling (as hard). When he does pull, he's forced to walk sideways which is a lot easier to get his attention with a treat. With this harness and some help from puppy kindergarden, we're getting there. He's learning to walk by my side now. I couldn't have done that without the harness.
