3 out of 5 stars Its ok   October 7, 2009
Aricka Johnson (Sedalia, MO)
I bought one of these for my pug in May and at that time I gave it a glowing review. but now 5 months later the top stitching on the cloth around the neck that attaches to the mesh has become unraveled and I have had to cut it off. Given this thing has been through some abuse from my pug it still seems pretty sturdy without that piece of cloth keeping the mesh together. I have had no other problems with this harness including the plastic clip. My pug still loves her harness and she will sit nicely when it is time to put it on. I will be ordereing another one, this time in a large bc she is only 7 months old and I expect her to grow a tiny bit more. It fits nice and snug and it does not cut into her at all but I just wish they would use a sturdier thread instead of regular ol thin sewing thread to keep this thing together, I mean seriously it is for a dog and regular thread is not gonna hold up. It also could be from me washing it perhaps? I tend to wash it twice a month bc it gets pretty smelly. Another thing I had noticed is that I have seen a few fleas crawling through the mesh. Even though she is on Frontline Plus she does get a flea every once in a while (no product is foolproof) and I just hope that the mesh is not allowing them to hide from the medication and breed.

4 out of 5 stars Mostly Love, and a little caution   August 11, 2009
Melia Peterson (Phoenix, AZ, USA)
I have been using these halters for sometime with my dogs, and while I mostly love them - I have recently discovered that a determined dog can back out of the harnesses (I think that may be true with any harness) So make sure you size this right!

P.S. The size charts are aaccurate, make sure to measure your dog properly.

2 out of 5 stars The Design Needs Improvement   July 27, 2009

There are two major things are wrong with this product....
1) The strap around the neck doesn't fit most dogs and needs to have a way to be adjusted to the different dogs' neck sizes.
2) The plastic "lock" closure thing is hard to work with and it takes a few attempts to unleash the collar.
3) Also I have a small dog and the neck collar part is very wide.....I do not think the dog's size was taken into the design process......

2 out of 5 stars Not recommended   July 1, 2009
Giang Tran (fremont, wa usa)
I've only used the strap for 3 months and its locking clip has already broken off. I have a similar strap but of a different brand in which I've used for over a year and it has no problem, except it's getting kinda dirty. The only reason why I bought this one is because it's a few dollar less and I want a different color. Overall, not happy with this purchase.

5 out of 5 stars I love this harness   May 8, 2009
Ann Marie (Seattle)
I bought 2 of these for my 2 mini dachshunds. They have never had a harness before and adjusted right away to them. I like them because they are washable, colorful, light to wear and my dogs seem very happy with them. Make sure and measure your dog before you order, I thought mine would take a small but after measuring, they are a medium and my one dachshund weighs 9-1/2 lbs. I am very satisfied and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a comfortable harness for their dog.
