About to buy my second harness... October 25, 2009

Last November I bought a Medium harness and matching leash for my 60 lb lab/pit mix. The fit was great, she looked adorable, it didn't smell funny or require constant readjustment as some reviews pointed out. The fleece-lined harness is very cozy and never chaffed her skin, which was the whole point in buying it. The product held up for 10 months through daily hikes, runs, ocean swims, rolling in the dirt and dog-park wrestling. I don't know why I expected it to last forever; on a recent squirrel chase my dog emerged from the bushes with her harness i two pieces. The stitching that never showed any signs of weakening had come apart, must have gotten ripped on a branch. So I'm buying my second harness in a year, which doesn't thrill me because the set costs $50. In all my doggie product searches I have not found anything that appears to be better made, so I still recommend to all.
Soft, no smell, durable so far October 11, 2009

I just purchased this harness about a month....so far so good. Holding up pretty well. There is absolutely no smell of the hemp and it is very soft. One word of caution is that the harness does run pretty big, I ordered a medium for my terrier mix and glad I did. A lot of room for adjustment if need be.

Color is great, Apple green looks really nice on our two golden retrievers. Love the padded harness. Tried others that weren't padded and they seemed to make the girls itch. A little hard to adjust size but still a good value

I'm always glad to see an Environmentally friendly that is well made as all too often Companies claim that it's "Natural" or "Organic" and it's of poor Quality. This is NOT the case with the Planet Dog Harness. It is very well made, soft, and my Pup -a Pembroke Welsh Corgi- seems to like wearing it much better than her Collar -not from Planet Dog as I couldn't justify spending- and along with the matching Leash it looks very nice.
The only thing keeping me from giving a full 5 Stars is that for the Corgi shape/build of Dog the Chest Strap doesn't quite adjust enough to provide a snug fit. Close but no Cigar.

I like how this harness feels. It is very soft on my dog's coat. I am having a little trouble getting it adjusted to fit properly but mostly because my dog does not want to stand still long enough for me to do it. My dog also pulls a little bit and that tends to shift the harness off kilter a little bit but this may be because I don't have it adjusted properly.
