 Very handy but not mice proof! April 22, 2009

We purchased one of the larger sizes to use as a permanent dog food container in our pantry. It worked perfectly and fit over 30 lbs of dog food. However, we found that it's not mice proof. Mice invaded our pantry one winter and chewed a huge hole in the bottom of the bag. I understand that this is probably not relevant if you're using this for travel purposes only. But I wanted to make everyone aware just in case someone plans to use it in a permanent or semi-permanent way to store dog food.

I recently used this on a camping trip with my two 40lb dogs. It held enough food for 3 solid days with at least enough room for 4 more days on top of that. The velcro almost seals up the whole top, so some food does spill out if its turned upside down, but the buckle alleviates a lot of that problem. Very sturdy material.

The feed bag is really handy to have. It holds enough food to keep a medium size dog happy for at least three days. It's light and easy to pack and great for traveling or hiking with my dog. It seals well, and keeps the food from spilling.

I love these food bags. I travel frequently to dog trials and also weekend trips to the lake. These food sacks are great! As you use the contents, you roll it to a smaller and smaller bundle. While it is not air tight, I have never had an issue with spoilage.
