Radiology May 17, 2009 Jane Wesson Useful for new graduates and those who have got rusty. A comprehensive and detailed textbook to aid in the interpretation of radiographs, ultrasonographic images and more. The pictures of normal radiographic anatomy are comprehensive but a bit small to pick up all features. Also, does not account for differences in exposure and positioning. Small animal joints are all covered in one chapter, where expanding this might have been helpful.
Highly recommended. April 26, 2009 R. Garcia (New Zealand) If you have any interest in veterinary radiology whatsoever, get this book. I refered to it quite a bit throughout vet school, and still use it today. Well worth buying. Excellent reference.
great pictures April 10, 2009 Elaine Boston (Columbus, OH) This book has a lot of great pictures to help you understand what you're looking at in radiographs for animals.
well done January 6, 2009 brumbal1 (london,uk) it is an excellent book, things are simply and fully explained.a lot of pictures and diagrams, very good for students.
excellent resource for students November 26, 2008 J. J. Herkt (New Zealand) I have found Thrall to be an excellent resource text to get a good grounding in radiography and radiology. The text is written in a very reader-friendly style, covering the main points without being verbose. The many radiographic examples often cover more than one instance of a particular condition, giving the reader different perspectives on conditions. My only desire would be to have more of the radiographs labeled with the radiological points referred to in the text. The updated sections on Ultrasonography and MRI give a student (and current practitioner new to these technologies) a good understanding of them.
