5 out of 5 stars Great book!   April 27, 2009
dog freak (seattle, wa)
I am obsessed with dog books, dog magazines, dog products...DOGS! I got this book to check out some possible activities I may not have thought of to do with my dogs, and also because I really like the "Simple guide to..." series. The layout is great, simple to read, lots of good info, and outlines many activities from frisbee to agility to pullling to you name it! Activities for dogs of all sorts and ages. I highly recommend this book to anyone who would like to see what is out there to do with your dog!

This book was a finalist for best general book for 2002 Maxwell Awards awarded by the Dog Writers Association of America. This is the best book out there on activities with dogs.

5 out of 5 stars Great guide to dog sports and activities   October 26, 2002

I really love this book. I got it to give my Malamute something to do. The author covers weightpulling, skijoring, and backpacking. She also covers sports like agility and Rally-O. There's so many options here that you're sure to find something to do with your dog whether it's frisbee, tracking, or earthdog. You must get this book!
