3 out of 5 stars Not exactly what I wanted   August 20, 2002

I was looking for a book to give grooming and clipping information that I could use on my mixed breed dog. This book does include some information on those subjects (maybe 20 pages on clipping) but not enough for me to feel comfortable clipping my dog.

The majority of this book (over 40 pages) is devoted to skin disorders and how to treat them. Perhaps this will be useful later but it was not really what I was looking for.

3 out of 5 stars Ok, but not the best   May 7, 2001

The book has usefull information, for example the steps you should follow in washing your dog or cat, but is very vague in the cuts for specific breeds. This book is perfect as an introduction for a more complete guide to grooming pets.
