Chris Sertzel October 21, 2009 Chris Sertzel (Madison, Wisconsin) A very good book for the beginner groomer. Lots of easy to understand grooming instructions, but less about the "theory" behind why to groom in certain ways for each breed, which would have made it easier for all groomers at all skills levels to draw from and relate to. Still- I value it as part of my reference library, and it has some info in it that my other books lack!
Quality Reading October 15, 2009 Raleigh R. Conquest This book is well thought out and will help anyone with learning to groom Dogs.
My wife and I used it to groom our Dog he looks great. We made very few mistakes
the first time. And have continued too improve to a level of show quality.
Be sure to use hand clippers on face and legs as the books instructs, and suggest.
Great Book June 9, 2009 S. Andreiev (East Norwich, New York) This is a very instructional book with step by step instructions how to groom the various breeds. AS well as diagrams showing the direction of grooming for special grooming needs. I am taking a grooming class and this is the book they recommend. Very happy with the book and Amazons prompt response getting it to me.
Home Grooming December 12, 2008 L. Chibe (Denver, Co. USA) I was a little disappointed with this book. I expected to see step by step pictures of how to cut a dogs hair and face. I groom at home and have a problem grooming the dogs face without it looking unprofessional. The other pointers and pictures did help as to bathing around the face, using certain size blades, different scissors for different areas of the body, etc.
A great book September 27, 2008 aussie (Australia) I thought this book was superb with easy directions and covered heaps of dog breeds. I have been clipping my Westie's and it is always successful foud it very helpful
