I would always recommend that any handler review a variety of books/techniques when enbarking on any training endeavor that is new to them. It pays to pick out the parts that resonate for you, listen for an author's personal biases, and weigh it all together, objectively. But be assured, this is a solid, comprehensive volume to get you and your schutzhund-hopeful-dog off to a great start.

This book is for those who already know the basics of training a dog but want to persue Schutzhund training. It will give you advice for selecting the puppy for want you want to train it for and then it starts into intensive Schutzhund training. really good book for Schutzhund beginners but not really intended for those who are brand new to owning dogs.
