Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Originally designed for use at their seminars, Clothier & Lesser, two leading experts on the canine athlete, wrote Physical Therapy to offer practical information and hands-on techniques for keeping your canine athlete healthy, and for helping him recover from injury.

You'll learn injury assessment, as well as how, when and why to use massage, manipulation, ice/heat therapy, and hydrotherapy to speed recovery and assist healing. This booklet makes an excellent companion to the video, Your Athletic Dog. A "must-have" for the handler of any competitive dog!

5 out of 5 stars book for dog owners--not just physical therapists   May 26, 2005

Because a previous reviewer felt the majority of the readers of this book are licensed physical therapists, I would like to point out that it is also very handy for dog owners. Because Suzanne Clothier has a large audience among dog trainers & other serious dog people, I think this may be why the book was not written in as technical a style as a typical physical therapy textbook. There are veterinary texts on canine physical therapy if that is what you are looking for. I have both types of books in my library, & there is a place for both.

A good introductory book for the sports minded Physical Therapist. Was a little disappointed in the simplicity of it, with the majority of persons buying this book already liscensed PT's the author could have been a little more technical.
