Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
At last - a comprehensive guide to puppy aptitude testing from an author with over 20 years of puppy testing experience. Understanding Puppy Testing offers detailed information on each test - its purpose, specific techniques, responses and tips on what you should watch for. Included here are the specifics on puppy responses (including body posture, heart rate changes & eye movements) that you need to know - but can't find anywhere else.

This is a practical and realistic approach to the possibilities and limitations of puppy testing. An experienced breeder, Clothier stresses the importance of an holistic approach to the puppy, breeder's responsibilities and the need for careful interpretation of test results. If puppy behavior intrigues you, and you'd like to know more about the puppies you've bred or the puppy you want to buy, this booklet belongs on your bookshelf.

Customer Reviews:
5 out of 5 stars MORE INFO THAN OTHER PUPPY TESTS   October 17, 2006
Just Me (here and there across the USA)
This large booklet gives more information than any other book I have read (I've read many which cover the topic) on puppy testing. Gives additional details of how to test. It makes clear distinctions on how to rate the puppy's response. Importantly, it adds a category for the puppy which offers a response not usually listed on other tests. It also discusses tests for unique traits someone may me looking for, like persistence in a Search & Rescue dog.
