Product Description
Fetch a wave with champion surf dogs Kelly Slobber, Riptail, and Jeff Spicollie in this totally bone-dacious card game. Get the most dogs on surfboards by cashing in sand dollars to retrieve cards. Roll over to the Dog Shack for a chance at collaring another players cards. But watch out, greedy gulls may snatch your cash or a monster wave might cause a major wipe out! The player with the most complete surfboards is the top dog. Contents: 50 cards, 30 wooden sand dollars, 1 custom die, game rules in English and Spanish. Reinforces: Spatial Relations and Matching. 2 to 4 players. Playing time: about 20 minutes

Customer Reviews:
5 out of 5 stars Fun Game!   September 12, 2009
C. Darling (Florida, USA)
This is a very fun game for kids! The game consists of a stack of Surf cards, a stack of Surf Shack cards, wooden sand dollars and a special die (with numbers 1, 2, 3, and a Surf Shack). There are three types of Surf cards -- the front of a surfboard, the middle of a surfboard (with a surfer dog on it -- all of the dogs are different) and the back of the surfboard. The goal of the game is to build a certain number of complete surfboards. One way to get Surf cards is to buy them with sand dollars. One way to get sand dollars is to roll the die -- you get as many sand dollars as the number on the die. And then the Surf Shack cards -- Wipeout, Snag a Surfboard and SeaGull -- mix everything up. Depending on the Surf Shack card and what you roll on the die after getting a Surf Shack card, you either get sand dollars from opponents, get to take Surf cards from opponents or lose some of your own Surf cards.

On one occasion, I played the game with an 8-year-old girl and 6-year-old boy. Both enjoyed the game immensely and grasped the rules of the game well. On a separate occasion, I played the game with two girls -- one 9 and one 4. The 9-year-old thought the game was a LOT of fun. Although the 4-year-old needed guidance all the way, she thought it was a lot of fun too.
